The Female Body

Updated on June 5, 2011

Female Body and the Internet

All around the internet today you will see numerous pictures of the female body. This leads me to believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that everyone is fascinated with the human body. I would have to say that a picture of a woman will be clicked on more times than anything else. What is it about the fascination of a woman’s body that so enraptures us that we have to look and see every chance we can. Is it the swell of a woman’s breast, the sleek lines of a woman’s midsection, the length of her legs, her hips or buttocks, or could it also be the elegance of her neck and back? I think that maybe it is a culmination of all parts put together so magnificently that we have to look, men and women both.

When you stroll through history you get a chance to realize that the female body has been portrayed in art since the beginning of time. I would also venture a wild guess that cavemen drew pictures of women on their cave walls just like prepubescent boys hang pictures of beautiful girls on the walls of their rooms. At some point in history though a strange and yet terrible thing happened to the image of the woman’s body. I believe this awful thing happened in the twentieth century around the time Hollywood became a permanent fixture in American culture. Popular culture, to include movies, magazines, and even news stations started to idolize the “thin” woman. With the idolization of this woman and the subsequent cramming of her image down every young girl’s throat we became a society obsessed with perfection.

Beautiful Women

Can someone please tell me what is perfect about a woman that walks around half starved all the time? What is perfect about a girl whose ribs and hip bones are showing is? At some point we have to call it quits with this detrimental self image of perfection. A woman with a perfect body is one that can sustain life. She is allowed to have a muffin top if that makes her feel sexy, and she is allowed to have a little tummy pooch. At no time should you ever be able to see her skeletal features.

I dream of a day when a woman can wear a bathing suit, one piece or bikini, without considering if she looks fat. From a man’s perspective and from the horse’s mouth if you will, NO you don’t look fat. You look f***ing fantastic. All men are created equal and we all like to see a little skin now and then. Let me ask you one question. How would you like it if a man walked up to you and asked, “Do these pants make my butt look big?”

I imagine you clicked on this to look at pictures of the female body. So to appease your appetite here you go.

This website was designed with writers in mind.  It is a site for aspiring authors, web content writers, poets, general geniuses of the literary kind, and for people who can spin a tale out of thin air.  I like to consider myself four out of the five and I love to tell stories.  So unfortunately you are not going to get a gallery of beautiful women.
